What if our packaging contains multiple materials?

Learn how to report packaging made from several materials or components.

Many products contain packaging made from several materials or packaging components.

In Infine Connect, you should include all relevant packaging materials used for the product where possible. This may include:

  • primary packaging, such as a bottle, wrapper, tray or pouch
  • secondary packaging, such as a carton or multipack packaging
  • tertiary or transport packaging, where requested

If plastic materials are included, Infine Connect may also ask for more detailed plastic type data, such as PET, PP or PE.

Where possible, packaging data should reflect the actual packaging used for the product in the relevant market. If accurate data is not currently available, you can leave optional fields blank and update the data later when confirmed data becomes available.
