Why is carbon footprint data requested?

Carbon footprint data may be requested to support climate-related analysis, reporting and product-level emissions visibility.

Product-level emissions data can help Reitan Convenience and suppliers better understand the climate impact of products, categories, sourcing decisions and supply chains.

Carbon footprint data may support:

• sustainability assessments and analyses
• climate-related reporting
• emissions visibility across products and supply chains

• benchmarking and product comparisons

• future climate-related reporting or target-setting processes

Is carbon footprint data mandatory?

Carbon footprint data may be optional depending on the data request.

If carbon footprint data is optional and not currently available, you can still complete the other required supplier and product data in Infine Connect.

What if we do not yet calculate product emissions?

Many suppliers do not calculate product-level carbon footprints for all products.

If product emissions data is not currently available, complete the other requested data where possible. You can update or add carbon footprint data later if it becomes available.

Why does Infine Connect ask about calculation methods and LULUC?

If carbon footprint data is provided, additional data about the calculation may also be requested.

This may include:

• the life-cycle scope of the calculation
• whether land use or land-use change impacts are included
• the calculation method or framework used
• whether the calculation has been externally validated or reviewed

This helps provide context for how the emissions data was produced and supports better transparency and comparability.

Infine Connect does not require one single calculation method for all suppliers. The available options and formats are defined in the relevant fields in Infine Connect.
